Hello Reader!

I absolutely love to host my people to watch our team play the game. In fact, a few years back, I wrote a guide about how to host a tailgate party at home.

You might want to host a tailgate party if…

  • You live in a city away from your team OR it’s an away game and you don't want to travel.
  • You have little kids and don’t want to bring them to a game, but want them to feel like they're part of a game experience.
  • You just don’t want to attend a sporting event in person, but still want to watch the game and enjoy some gameday food. (You might just want to eat the food... and that's OK!)

No matter what your reason is, this was written to help you out, including the planning process, menu ideas, how to make a cooking timeline for said menu and more.

Below are some of my favorite make-ahead tailgate dishes to start the celebration, to serve as a main and to end the gathering with:

Kick things off with these starters...

Pro tip: Mix any of these dips together earlier and keep cold in the fridge until it's time to serve... then bake them off or serve them cold with your favorite dippers.

Serve these as your mains...

Don't forget a little sweet treat!

I hope that one of these recipes is something you want to make soon.

Happy baking,
Erin
